Advice to Prevent Fraud - 5 Steps! Henley Close - Suspicious incident - Roofers Police log 440 of 14/9

Police log 440 of 14/9

There has been some recent reports at Henley Close of a Suspicious incident in Burntwood. It has been reported to Staffordshire Police that 5 males have been out to Henley Close and have been offering their services in relation to roofing. However, there is no company name and no leaflets/cards which advertise this business. Please be careful in answering your front door unless it it to someone you are expecting. If you feel pressured then call 999 and do not be pressured to hand over any money. Ring door bells are useful in capturing any images of Offenders too. There has been a black porshe, silver van and an estate acting suspiciously in the area.

General advice:-

Never disclose any of your security details such as your PIN

Don't assume an email or phone call is authentic

Don't be rushed into making a decision

Listen to your instincts - Fraudsters may lull you into a false sense of security

Stay in control - refuse requests for personal or financial information

If anyone has seen anything suspicious in relation to the above incident then please call 101, Crimestoppers or 999 for a Crime in Progress.
